Ahhh England...

Where the teaspoons are really small and when someone asks you to bring squash to a barbecue they don't mean a courgette!

We don't know Jack!

Do you?

Of course you know yourself, Jack...constantly commenting on both mine and Daren and probably countless other people's blogs, chiding me for posting infrequently or in an untimely manner.

Seems like Jack doesn't even write a blog himself. Maybe he should start a blog...a day in the life of a blog voyeur!

So before he gets his panties in a wad again...

The random photo below was taken in the European Union, Espana, Barcelona.
A detail of Gaudi's Parc Guell including a foppy guy with the large stringed instrument.

Pick a picture at random...

...and random it is!

It's so random I'll have to make you guess the location of this shot!
Results on Monday...good luck!

FAQ

"How many pictures have you taken?"

My typical answer being..."I don't want to know!"

Well...the temporary results are in...2732!

That's an average of 210 photos a week...not counting the hundreds of blurry cathedrals and tree in the way pics I've already deleted...oh, and I'm not home yet.

So where does one start blogging with a library of 2732 photos and video clips...

We shall see...

The Eurotrip continues...

So far I've been through 13 different countries, 5 different languages, and 4 different currencies!!!

Taking a well-deserved break on the Greek Isle of Santorini!

I would post more stuff but I've only stayed in one hotel that had a free wireless internet connection....

Anyway here are some highlights of my trip so far...

Buy, rent, or take my life...mission accomplished!

Or...Debbs' stuff: fueling other people's dreams!

Or...If you could sell all your troubles, would anyone buy them? Apparently...YES!

My dehydrator is being used to test recipes for an upcoming hike on the Applachian Trail.

Jill is dealing with my neighbor's never-ending irrigation problems.

Travis finally fixed the driver's side window motor on the black truck.

Two SCAD girls are riding bicycles for the first time in years.

My friends and neighbors are sporting my outfits.

Stormy and Eight are controlling the bunny population in Ellabel.

After years of living on a 65 ft fishing boat, my new tenant is looking forward to refurbishing my wrought iron patio set and building window boxes with my scrap lumber.

My plastic pots are playing a starring role in someone else's backyard nursery business.

The Schwinn Stingray is being refurbished once again...this time in Folly Beach, SC.

I hear the chaise lounge is going be painted green.

And me? Think I'll start living the un-American dream!

The game of spongebob LIFE...a modern adaptation

On my recent friend tour, I had the pleasure of seeing my #1 friend and meeting his 10 year old son for the first time. I suggested we play a game (missa debbs loves games) and I was introduced to Spongebob LIFE...

In the classic version of LIFE, you drive a blue or pink station wagon, get a spouse, have kids, buy a house and pay a mortgage...

In the modern version of Spongebob LIFE, you walk alone, you may choose to buy a pet (which may sting you...i.e. jellyfish), you can change jobs frequently (you need a college degree to be a fry cook), and you rent a house or live with grandma...

So, in the game of Spongebob Life, I was Mr. Crabbs, went to college, became a business owner and made more money than everyone else but ended up in dead last place with $3700 because in the end I lost Spongebob in a card game and had to buy him back...

...go figure, the un-college educated groundskeeper won in the game of Spongebob LIFE!

I heard George Clooney and Ben Affleck own this boat!

The Barbie Dream Kitchen

I had a few days off last week, so I decided to Flip This Kitchen...

What started off as ripping down some wallpaper and throwing down some new lino...

Ended up being nailing down a tongue and groove bamboo floor and trimming it out with new baseboards and quarter-round...

Oh yeah, and then the house is being shown on Saturday morning and I'm having a disco party Saturday night...

For Missa Deb...no problem.

She's Crafty!

People are constantly asking me, "So, what are you going to do now?" Like I don't do enough already!

One of the things I like to do is make stuff! I have been into knitting cool things for about a year and some of my Canadian friends have resparked my interest in creating cigar box purses again!

It is nice having an adoring public to design for...

I quit my job blowin' leaves...

I finally stood up and told that money hungry, slave-driver boss of mine to take this job and shove it! My resignation letter is on her desk!

Goodbye bruised shins! Goodbye dirt-stained clothes! Goodbye repetitive motion syndrome! Goodbye broken fingernails! Goodbye cuts and scrapes! Goodbye black boogies! Goodbye Oasis Landscapes!

So how were your holidays, deb? BUSY!!!

I was a social butterfly this holiday season!

On Christmas Day I made six stops...First to bestow oatmeal cookies on the ex and his mom Becky and Captain Jim--Jim approves of the cookies. Then it was off to downtown Savannah to the Sea Bolwd Crew House--never let South Africans start a grill! Next to Princess Marianna's house with the gift of Chinese Medicine. Oh yes, I did get a meal with Tara and Lou, my favorite Jersey folks...We ate lasanga and I supervised while the men tried to set up the new flat screen TV during a football game! Halfway back to Tybee I had a glass of wine with the Bretons and their neighbors...and a final stop on Tybee to visit one of the Becker boys and the ex again!

OK then it is New Year's Eve. Stop by Diego's to try to get some of this hangi. I believe it is a Kiwi thing where they roast a whole pig in the ground...30 more minutes and then we'll dig it up...oh well. My mission is to park the car for the rest of the year! So we cab it to Il Pasticco and dance in the New Year, 007 that is! One last stop at Venus di Milo before I put on my PJs and sleep well!

Good Morning New Year!!! This is the second year I have celebrated a fresh beginning with a plunge into the Atlantic Ocean! In black leather no less!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!!!
